Who uses a dog daycare?

Dogs whose owners travel or work long hours are our most frequent visitors. Family emergencies and unexpected trips are another situation where owners bring their dog to stay. Regardless of why a dog is booked into our kennel, we provide the daily exercise, care and attention your dog needs.

Drop-Off & Pick-Up Times

7:00-10:00am (Closed Sunday mornings)

4:00-7:00pm   (Every day)

These times are designed to provide our clients with less daytime disruption while also limiting the amount of noise during the evening in respect to our neighbours. Michael Lake Kennel is open every day of the year, excluding from December 24th through until 7am on December 27th, every year.

Pre-Boarding Checklist

  • Is your dog spayed/neutered?

All dogs must be spayed or neutered in order to board at Michael Lake Kennel. This helps to ensure the comfort and safety of your dog during their stay.

  • Are your dog's vaccinations up to date?

We request all dogs come accompanied with proof of up to date vaccinations including Bordetella (Kennel Cough) and Rabies.
A copy of a receipt from your veterinarian works well, as long as it displays the vaccination administered and when it is next required.

  • Does your dog have a play-friendly collar?

Half choke-chain collars are okay for walking, but are dangerous to wear while playing. We ask you bring a flat collar with identification on it, and a substitute collar if you prefer your dog be walked in something else.
