Michael Lake Kennel is a small, family-run boarding kennel for dogs. We are located 5 minutes from the Nanaimo Airport on a 35 acre farm in the heart of Yellowpoint, British Columbia. At Michael Lake Kennel we provide daycare and overnight boarding for as long as your dog wishes to stay!

Dogs will benefit from large enclosed yards for play, exercise and companionship during the day. They are also periodically taken out on walks throughout the property. Outdoor dog houses and apple trees shelter the dogs from heat in the summer, and rain in the winter. 

At Michael Lake Kennel we believe dogs should only be kept in their kennels while eating or sleeping, or during the occasional timeout. The rest of the day they are outside playing and socializing with other dogs that we have screened for compatibility. However, for the "mature" dogs we also offer easy access to the indoor couches and a small satellite television and radio, where they can relax away from the activity.

If your dog(s) are not friendly with other dogs we have smaller exercise pens where they can be seperate, but still be free from their kennels.

This facility is fully insured.
